This year, I’m taking on the Salt Lake City Half Marathon with a goal that means so much more to me than crossing another finish line: I’m raising $800 for Girls on the Run!
As an elementary PE coach and a Girls on the Run coach, I get to see firsthand what happens when kids are given the opportunity to discover just how strong and capable they are. Getting young people moving has become such a huge part of my life—not because I believe every kid needs to be an athlete, but because I believe every kid deserves to experience the confidence that comes from realizing, “I can do hard things.”
That’s exactly what I love about Girls on the Run. It uses running and movement as a vehicle for something much bigger: helping girls build confidence, develop healthy habits, form meaningful friendships, and recognize their own strength.
Running has taught me many of those same lessons. I've trained for and completed everything from 5Ks to half marathons to a full marathon, and some of the most meaningful moments have come from getting to turn around and share that love of movement with the next generation.
So for this half marathon, I’m not just running for my own finish line. I’m running for theirs. 💕
My goal is to raise $800 to support Girls on the Run and help more girls have access to a program that teaches them they are strong, capable, resilient, and worthy of taking up space.
Every donation—big or small—gets me closer to that $800 goal and helps give another girl the chance to discover just how much she can do.
Thank you for supporting me, my girls, and a mission I’m incredibly proud to be part of. 🏃♀️🤍
