2026 Flat Branch Creek Cleanup

Join Missouri River Relief in cleaning up Flat Branch Creek in Columbia, MO on Earth Day - Wednesday, April 22nd!

Volunteers will arrive at the MKT Trail - Stadium Blvd Access at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22nd for volunteer check-in. Volunteers will participate in a brief orientation talk and safety briefing before being provided your cleanup site, tools, and supplies. You will be provided a map for your site stretch and will self-shuttle or walk to your site along the MKT Trail. More details about weather, creek levels, and risk release waivers will be sent to registered volunteers a week out from the cleanup day.

PLEASE NOTE: This cleanup will require volunteers to wade in the creek- anywhere from ankle to waist-deep. Wear work-appropriate clothing. Long pants are strongly recommended but shorts may be desired for those wading in the creek. Sturdy shoes or boots are always a good idea but also bringing a pair of shoes you are comfortable getting wet will be important.
