Spring 2026 EmBe GOTR/H&S 5K in Sioux Falls - Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our EmBe/GOTR 5K! As GOTR and H&S girls from across our area come together to achieve their goals on 5K day, they will be depending on volunteers like you to help them shine!  

May 1, 2026 - Event Set Up: assist in setting up the up the event the day before the 5K by helping flag the path and putting up signs

Event Take Down:  assist in taking down event booths, flags, signage and general clean up of the complex

GOTR Coach Station: assist at our coaches table where coaches will pick up their team race bibs

Finish Line Assistance and Medals:  direct runners away from the finish line to the bananas/water ; put a medal around the neck and congratulate each young girl participating through the Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs 

Registration Booth:  assist new registrants (taking payment) and handing out race swag5K

Route Helpers:  stand at key locations to assist runners in going the correct direction and encouraging them along the course 

Sag Walkers:  walking the whole 5K at the end of the line to make sure all kids are being encouraged and no one is left behind

Bananas & Water Station: ensure that the water and bananas are easily assessable for our runners to grab after crossing the finish line
