Stronger Together: 25 Years of Limitless Potential
Since 2002, Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley has served more than 30,000 girls across Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. Next year, we’ll celebrate 25 years of Girls on the Run programming in Silicon Valley and the thousands of girls who have discovered their strength, built confidence, navigated challenges, and learned to believe in themselves.
And we’re just getting started.
With our 25th anniversary on the horizon, we're focused on investing in the girls who will shape our future. Your generosity helps sustain the programs, volunteer coaches, curriculum, and scholarships that make Girls on the Run possible.
When we come together, we can do more. When we invest in girls, the impact reaches far beyond the finish line.
Through our Stronger Together campaign, our Board of Directors and Young Professionals Board are coming together to raise $25,000 to support GOTRSV's 2027 programs and scholarship fund. Every contribution helps make our program accessible to more girls, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
Our Marathon Goal:
Together, we're raising $25,000 for the next generation of girls.
Every contribution helps Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley create opportunities for more girls to build confidence, form meaningful friendships, develop healthy habits, and discover their limitless potential.
Here are just a few examples of what your generosity can help make possible:
- $25 helps cover a team stipend to support our volunteer coaches.
- $250 helps cover curriculum and program materials.
- $2,500 helps cover program registration for five girls.
- $5,000 helps cover the cost of a Girls on the Run team.
All donations support Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley's overall mission, including our 2027 programs and scholarship fund. Every gift, at every level, helps us move closer to our goal.
Our impact goes beyond the 5K finish line:
Here's what one of our GOTR participants said about her experience in our 2026 season:
"One thing that we learned is to be assertive and be a tree and not be a storm or a feather. Another thing I learned is the 'I Feel, because, I Need' tool. It can be really helpful, and I can prove that because I used it once, and it lets you share how you feel and what you need. The final one is to take a heart moment; that means stopping and thinking before responding to someone or something. I hope to participate in this fun program again next year because Girls On The Run is so much fun!!!!!!"
These are the moments that make the work matter: a girl finding her voice or discovering just how capable she is. Thank you for your help as we continue to invest in the girls in our community!
